After running my business for 20 years it was time for me to retire.   I had no idea if I would be able to sell my business or would simply have to shut the doors.

 

I spoke with Mark Liner who had previously provided me with great business advice over the years.  He said he would help.  Help he did!  I could not have wished for more.  

 

Mark went about this by firstly writing up an information memorandum to supply to prospective purchasers, he put the historical financial information together, advertised the business for sale, fielded and responded to all queries. 

 

He negotiated with the interested parties, attended meetings, put together due diligence information, dealt directly with my tax accountant and lawyer so that a contract of sale could be drawn up, whilst keeping me clearly informed during the whole process and guiding me to a result that I could never have dreamed of prior to putting the business on the market.

Shortly after my partners and I purchased a business, we engaged the services of Mark Liner to review the financial side of our business. Initially he spent a couple of days onsite with our CEO and accounts staff in order to assess the situation. He followed up with an insightful report into the workings of the business. He came up with a stategic plan to move forward. He reviewed the in house processes and improved the structure and set up of our ledger. He mentored our bookkeeper so that the financial information she presented gave an accurate representation of how our business was performing. He devised a weekly management report so we could review our weekly KPIs and track how our month was performing. He brought better processes and practices to our business generally. He also liaised directly with our external accountant in order to present year end information and ensure that the accountant was kept informed.
